“We were ready to go it alone, but something was missing”
After twenty years’ experience working in recruitment, Tony Farmer decided the time was right to set up on his own. He wanted a good quality of life with the freedom to run a business on his own terms.
When Tony launched the Black & White Group, he knew he needed some advice and support to help manage his cashflow. But he soon came across a stumbling block in finding the right partner.
“Finance is always an issue,” said Tony, Director and Owner. “We needed support to get going, but so much of today’s business is online. Call me old fashioned, but I wanted to talk to someone.”
“I was looking for a partnership”
“Starting a recruitment business, you really need a good finance company that understands your needs and believes in what you are doing,” explained Tony.
“I didn’t want a computer driven service, I wanted to work with a like-minded company that offered a highly personal service and ‘got’ my business.”
Then Ultimate Finance was recommended to Tony by an old friend.
“I met with five financial companies, but when I spoke to Ultimate Finance they really stood out. The personal service they offered me was unrivalled by the others.”
The Ultimate personal service
Ultimate Finance now provides Tony with Invoice Finance, including debtor protection, and takes care of all the credit control processes for the business.
“The credit control service is great, it gives me one less thing to worry about,” said Tony. “If we have a problem, we can call them, and they pick up the phone in an instant. They believe in our work and in turn we trust them fully.”
With the help of Ultimate Finance, Black & White is flourishing and looking to grow to £1m in turnover in their second year.
“There are so many people in the UK who are stuck in the position I was in. They have the confidence to run their own businesses but lack the personal back office support. If people were aware of the excellent personal service Ultimate Finance provide, I think more people would pursue their business ambitions”.
