For Flanagan Labour Hire LTD – a business specialising in the supply of freelance contractors to the civil engineering and utility industries since 2020 – waiting longer for client payments risked slowing momentum at a critical time. Having paused their facility during a quieter period, they now needed flexible funding back in place at speed to match a rising order book, support weekly contractor payments, and avoid tying up cash in receivables.
Director Gavin Higgins explains, “We had acquired some new contracts that required financing over longer payment terms than we usually offer, which would have caused unwelcomed cashflow issues due to the increased length of time for us to receive payment”.
