About the team
Our Bridging Finance team is a specialist, fast-moving team focused on helping introducers and clients secure short-term property funding with speed, clarity and confidence. We deliver decisions in principle within 24 hours and fully credit-backed offers in 72, supported by high LTV options (up to 75%) and tailored solutions that support the ambitions of property developers and investors. With experienced deal-makers and in-house legal support, we keep transactions moving and get deals over the line when time matters most.
About the role
You’ll join our existing sales team, working proactively to spot and win new business opportunities. You’ll have clear targets to work towards, aligned with the wider team’s goals and company expectations.
We’ll also look to you to live our core values — Decency, Enterprise and Brilliance — in everything you do. That means delivering consistently great service to everyone you speak to, including prospects, introducers, and internal and external customers.
You’ll help maximise opportunities by following best practice and maintaining high standards of salesmanship, customer care and risk management.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, generate and secure new business opportunities from a range of introductory sources in order to convert new Bridging Finance deals for Ultimate Finance.
- Build and maintain new and existing professional working relationships from a variety of introductory sources (accountants, commercial finance advisors, brokers, solicitors etc.) and act as a primary contact for new business in your designated region.
- Manage and progress all new business enquiries and prepare / submit new business files to credit committee, ensuring that they meet our credit policy and contain all information required, allowing our underwriter(s) to assess the proposal quickly and accurately.
- Assist the Operations team and others to ensure the smooth transition of prospects to clients.
- Maintain up to date introducer records, ensure that all prospect enquiries are properly recorded and progressed.
- Contribute ideas and positive suggestions at regional sales meetings to ensure continual development.
- Develop knowledge and understanding of the bridging finance industry and also other Ultimate Finance Group products and services – ensuring cross sales are maximised.
- Achieve minimum sales targets (primarily PFI income) whilst ensuring that new business quality standards are acceptable and maintained.
- Work closely with marketing to maximise Ultimate Finances exposure to our broker market, utilising the sales and marketing tool kit to support you with this.
- Represent the company professionally and to maintain our high standards in all respects.
Key skills and knowledge
- Proven sales performance required
- Strong relationship management skills
- A defined and active introducer base
- Strong commercial awareness and good technical knowledge of funding
- Must be able to write a structured credit paper
- Understanding of credit and Asset & Liabilities statements
- Proven planning and delivery skills.
