As Head of Broker Desk, you will be joining a successful, rapidly growing business that is setting new records month on month. An exciting opportunity for an experienced Asset Finance professional to join our management team, where you contribute both operationally and strategically towards our goal to be the funding partner of choice in the market. The Broker Desk performs a key role in assuring we maintain our industry leading levels of service & is a key part of us achieving our ambitious growth strategy

The role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with Brokers with a view to identifying and furthering business opportunities, including being involved in the strategic allocation of broker relationships. The role will also involve collaborating closely with and assisting the Sales Team with broker engagement and development activities. The position will include frequent in-person interactions with brokers, both office based and networking activity.

Key responsibilities will include contributing to and executing both individual and collective introducer strategies, including managing and nurturing central broker relationships through the effective implementation of data and insights to drive the development of broker relations.

The Head of Broker Desk will be responsible for ensuring the smooth processing, generating and conversion of new business for Ultimate Finance, with the Broker Desk playing an important role acting as a contact point for applications for finance from broker introductions and assisting in facilitating smooth transfer of clients between sales and operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Support and lead the Broker Desk team to include training, development & recruitment.
  • Help develop, understand, promote and educate the team in their knowledge of Asset Finance products and their career development.
  • Facilitate a new business deal from inception to completion, as necessary, including issuing documentation and liaising with the wider team of underwriters and pay-outs, ensuring all conditions are satisfied.
  • Manage leads from brokers and/or internal sources, including qualification of the opportunity and managing expectations and communications at all times.
  • Support and supplement the management of broker relationships.
  • Provide support, key data and insights to the Sales team to assist them in developing broker relationships, strategies and sales volumes.
  • Undertake project and strategy work, as required, to further develop the efficiency & quality of the Ultimate Finance business through assisting in product, system & process enhancements.
  • Review new business proposals and aid the introducer on how best to structure full proposals, with a view to Ultimate receiving a complete application first time.
  • Co-ordination of team workloads to deliver within Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
  • Undertake regular 1-2-1’s and appraisals with Broker Desk team members
  • Undertake financial analysis of proposals and be able to present a summary and conclusion of strengths or weaknesses.
  • Maintain and uphold the highest levels of customer service throughout the customer journey.
  • Be fully familiar with the full Ultimate Finance product range & facilitate cross product collaboration.
  • Attend networking events and exhibitions when required.
  • Identify relevant cross sell opportunities and contribute to competitor market and customer analysis as and when required.
  • Perform any other duties as may be required by the Company from time to time.
