Assistant Relationship Manager (Construction)

Overview

To work as part of our existing Relationship Team to support the Relationship Managers in all aspects of managing a portfolio of clients; including risk control, service level assurance and procedural compliance. We expect you to demonstrate our core values of Decency, Enterprise and Brilliance at all times. Your priorities would be to provide a great service, whilst focusing on ledger performance, utilising Risk Factor and exception reporting to identify and investigate any anomalies.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist Relationship Managers (RMs) in managing client portfolios, ensuring smooth onboarding and excellent service.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients to resolve queries and support facility amendments.
  • Help RMs achieve client engagement goals, including Open Banking connectivity and risk factor reviews.
  • Daily review and update of debtor credit limits and concentration limits.
  • Process payments, overpayments, credit notes, refunds, and reassignments within authority levels.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records—no overdue tasks by month-end.
  • Complete AML and IDU checks within 7 days.
  • Regularly review and maintain risk factor schedules
  • To accurately process and allocate all cash receipts relating to your portfolio on a daily basis.
  • To accurately check and process schedules of applications to C3.
  • To accurately maintain spreadsheets to monitor activity on customer contracts
  • To ensure receipt of and processing of required weekly/monthly client information including bank statements and reconciliations for the purposes of monitoring of risk and compliance.
  • Track external DP limits and Premiums Paid
  • Support compliance with BSA testing and ensure minimal
  • Keep trackers and logs updated for complaints and financial disbursements.
  • Ensure all mandatory LMS training is completed on time.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and cross-departmental projects.
